Let’s face it: growing up is hard!
Besides dealing with puberty, bullies and school – I wanted to write a story that dealt with moving past the hard memories, into something overtly sweet. The personal growth that comes with maturity and time – combined with the essential ‘what if’ of a first crush made this book tremendously touching, if not ‘saccharin’ (A.K.A. super sugary) sweet.
