Melanie Strow is supposed to be returning from the trip of a lifetime before school resumes for the fall. When a bag is left near her feet while going through customs, she is immediately chased by a K9 officer under the premise that she might be attempting to smuggle drugs into the country. When in fact, the only thing she is carrying is a stomach bug that lands her in the hospital.
Officer Jason Wild is surprised to see his K9 companion, Sheba, identify the modest looking woman as possibly in possession of cocaine. Yet, when he and another officer start in pursuit, instead of running, she collapses onto the floor of the airport deathly ill.
He is quite old fashioned, a far cry from his namesake. She is so different from any other woman he’s ever met, making him feel reckless at heart. Can she find happiness with a ‘wild’ man that could be taken from her at any moment by such a dangerous job? Could it be that they were placed in each other’s path to bring out the best in each other?
