Hello! I’m posting this late today…
Lost track of time, took several phone calls, and finished writing another book for this summer. Edits are on the agenda for tomorrow – but only when I have a fresh cup of coffee in hand.
I am thrilled with so many responses from you on the last email – and I appreciate your feedback! You all make my day a truly joyous one!
The prep for the Space Coast Convention starts soon! I’ll have gift bags, goodies, and swag to hand out – plus I’ll be running a few contests, so stay tuned for a link!
Jenna Brandt and I are going to announce this week some BIG Disaster City Search and Rescue NEWS that affects the rest of 2022 and 2023. And no, the series is not going away! There will be cover reveals, updates, and information soon. I guarantee you will LOVE this!
Oh – and if you want a peek at 2023 and missed the video on TikTok? Click here to see a surprise!
I listen to a lot of music when outlining my characters. I find it soothing to listen to ballads, pop music, country, or rock… and the scene I’m wanting to write matches the tone of the song.
If it’s a sweet romantic book? It might be Taylor Swift, Lonestar, Gin Blossoms, or Ed Sheerhan.
If it’s an intense scene – whoa! I listen to powerful, peppy, intense music like Linkin Park, Limp Biskit, Paramore, or Beastie Boys…
Or if I need a fun, laugh out loud setting? It’s Taylor Swift (I’m a huge fan!), Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon, Savage Garden, or Fancy Like… by Walker Hayes.
(Yep. LOVE that song and sing it shamefully at the top of my lungs in the car. So if you see a blue SUV on the road and the driver is dancing… wave! It might be me!)
XOXO
