An introduction … and our Brokken Road Romances Blog!
Hello everybody!
I will admit that I just said that phrase aloud in my best Simpson’s impression of when Dr. Nick walks into a room. My name is Ginny Sterling. I’m a huge cartoon fan & a coffee junkie. Robotech, the Simpsons, Fate Zero, Rick and Morty, Inuyasha … if its animated? I am in! BTW, did anyone see the finale of Star Wars Rebels? I cried <3
One of the hardest things for me to do is an introduction. I feel I am pretty average and normal just like everyone else. The thing that makes me who I am is that I love to tell a story that makes me smile or my heart dance. I adore characters that make you want to fall for them, to cheer on the good guys and have wonderful ‘happily ever after’ finishes. I thrive on them!

I am also all over social media and can be found on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook promoting my latest or upcoming book. In fact, here is my newest (sweet/clean) book that I just released:
Orphaned as a child, feisty Colleen O’Mara is discovered by the Cherokee people and adopted as one of their own. She becomes a sister to the chief’s only daughter. Learning their ways, she teaches them her language in return. As the United States Army uproots them from their homes, she is fascinated with the dark-haired lieutenant that has come to her rescue as they are forced to make the treacherous journey to the Oklahoma Territory.Lieutenant Daniel Williams is among the soldiers called up to enforce the removal of the Cherokee people from Georgia. It only took one glance into Colleen’s pale green eyes amidst the chaos to become fascinated with the so-called Indian maiden. Feeling guilty over what is happening to the Cherokee and his love for the enchanting young woman, he abandons everything he had once known in order to make things right for his perfect bride.

When my husband works, *waves* and I am off from work IRL, I can be found on my computer completely lost in a story or scene. I usually park my hiney in my favorite spot, toss a big blanket on my lap and stay put for hours on end.
In my upcoming books Brokken Vows and Brokken Ballad, I wanted to tackle what it must have been like trying to heal after the Civil War. What if your husband never came back? Or what if there was no one to marry at all? How exactly do you move on and heal? How do you learn to smile again? Each character has a different tale to tell, translated by our many authors.

That is the basis of all of my books: Life happens… its how you learn to love and find peace in your soul that gets you through the day.
